INTRODUCTION TO MY RESEARCH

 

I am interested in how microbes effect the geology of extreme regions of the Earth, as well as how microbes survive and function in these areas.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

USC Department of Earth Sciences, Amend Lab, Undergraduate Research Assistant (2019-present)

  • Prepared and analyzed data  from geochemical and microbiological assays on sulfur disproportionating microbes

USC Department of International Relations, Directed Research (IR 490X) (Summer, 2018)

  • Analyzed the impact of climate change on intra European Union political relations

  • Prepared and delivered market analysis and business proposal for a solar decathlon style competition for the European market in conjunction with the Energy Endeavor Foundation

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

Deans List (Fall 2017- Fall 2018)

  • Awarded to students each semester for achieving a 3.5 GPA or higher

Academic Achievement Award (Fall 2018-spring 2019)

  • Awarded to students with a 3.75 or higher GPA to offset the cost of of taking 19 or greater academic units in one semester

MSI Grant (Spring 2020)

  • Awarded to students studying abroad to aid with costs of foreign study

SERVICE TO THE FIELD

USC Teaching International Relations Program (Fall 2017-Spring 2018)

  • Developed and delivered lesson plans on international relations among Spanish speaking countries, taught students exclusively in Spanish

Novus Think Tank, Education Committee (Spring 2018- Spring 2019)

  • Developed and delivered college readiness plans to local high school students, engaged in conversation about life after high school and helped prepare students for multiple options

USC Rock Climbing Team, Trip Lead (Spring 2019-present)

  • Planned and led trips to various outdoor climbing regions in the western US

  • Educated climbers on outdoor ethics and safety; taught people how to climb outside

WORK EXPERIENCE

NAI Northern California, Intern (Summer 2019)

  • Underwrote and assessed investment opportunities

  • Utilized specialized software to create property marketing materials

  • Cold called potential clients and assisted in the sale of $10,000,000+ of commercial properties
